How do the shutters handle a pool environment?

The shutters are extruded aluminum with a powder-coated finish. Aluminum is corrosion-resistant, which is why it's commonly used for outdoor structures around pools. The product is covered by the manufacturer's warranty — ask us about finish care in pool areas.

Can I get counter shutters for the outdoor kitchen pass-through?

Yes. Counter shutters are a common addition to pool house installations — they mount into the counter or bar top frame and lock independently from the main opening shutters. They're available in solid or perforated aluminum profiles and can be motorized or spring-assisted. We quote the full system together.

How do I close everything down for winter?

Close all shutters and engage the locks. For motorized systems, the motor and control system can remain powered through winter — there's no seasonal shutdown needed. If you prefer to disconnect power, the manual override lets you operate the door by hand. There's no seasonal disassembly required.

Can the shutters be powder-coated to match our pool house architecture?

Yes. Five standard powder-coat colours are included — white, black, brown, beige and silver — or we can custom-match any Benjamin Moore or RAL colour for an additional charge. We can match your existing trim, fascia, or pool house exterior colour. Most clients choose a colour that blends into the pool house structure when the shutters are open.

What's the installation process for an existing pool house?

We measure the opening dimensions on-site, confirm the structural attachment points, and fabricate the shutter system to fit. The housing box mounts above each opening, and side guides run down both sides. The pool house itself is not modified — we work with the existing structure. Most pool house installations are completed in one to two days.
